Popular Nigerian disc jockey DJ Pretty Play has announced plans to attempt a Guinness World Record for the longest marathon club DJ-ing, with an ambitious non-stop performance lasting 288 hours.
The record attempt is scheduled to run from Tuesday, March 3 to Saturday, March 14, 2026, with performances beginning daily at 7:00 p.m. (WAT).
The historic event will take place at Bay Lounge, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, one of the city’s nightlife hotspots.
According to details released by the DJ’s team, the marathon set is aimed at breaking the existing global record for continuous club DJ-ing, a physically and mentally demanding challenge that requires endurance, consistency, and strict adherence to Guinness World Records guidelines.
DJ Pretty Play, known for her energetic performances and growing influence in Nigeria’s music and nightlife scene, described the attempt as a personal and national milestone.
“This is about pushing limits and showing what’s possible,” she said. “It’s not just for me, but for Nigerian DJs and creatives everywhere.”
The attempt has already begun generating buzz across social media, with fans, fellow DJs, and entertainment stakeholders pledging support ahead of the marathon.
If successful, DJ Pretty Play would join the growing list of Nigerians making headlines on the global stage through record-breaking creative and endurance feats.
More details regarding live attendance, streaming, and supporting activities are expected to be announced as the start date approaches.
