What the Cowrywise Brand Storytelling Associate Will Do
The successful candidate will be responsible for producing both video and photography content.
This includes creating short-form videos such as Reels as well as longer productions for YouTube and brand campaigns. The role also covers product photography, lifestyle images and behind-the-scenes content.
The associate will participate in pre-production, production and post-production. Responsibilities include scripting, storyboarding, preparing shot lists, scouting locations, setting up lighting and audio equipment, operating cameras and completing the editing process.
The job also involves covering events, customer stories, employee features and campaign launches, often with quick turnaround times.
Cowrywise expects the person hired to understand that content cannot simply be produced once and distributed everywhere in the same format.
The associate will therefore be expected to adapt videos and photographs for platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, websites and paid advertising, taking into account differences in aspect ratios, pacing and audience behaviour.
Another part of the job involves organising the company’s visual assets in a digital asset management library and ensuring that content complies with brand guidelines and licensing requirements.
Who Can Apply?
Cowrywise says applicants should generally have two to three years of experience in visual storytelling, videography, photography or multimedia content creation.
Experience may come from an agency, an in-house creative team or a studio.
Candidates should be comfortable working in fast-moving production environments and handling short deadlines, particularly when responding to emerging visual trends.
The company is also looking for applicants who can turn broad brand ideas and human experiences into visual narratives rather than depending entirely on written scripts.
Hands-on experience with DSLR or mirrorless cameras is required, alongside knowledge of lighting and audio equipment.
