Dangote industries has extended the ongoing IPO offer for the Dangote Petroleum Refinery to October 27 from the earlier announced October 13 date.
The offer, priced at N525.00 per share, originally opened on Monday, 14 September 2026. The extension, approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), moves the previous closing date of Tuesday, 13 October 2026, by two weeks.
According to the company, the decision follows “very strong interest from a broad range of eligible investors across Africa and other jurisdictions.” The extra time is intended to support ongoing market-access initiatives, including the expansion of distribution channels and the rollout of depositary receipt programmes that will make it easier for cross-border investors to participate.
David Bird, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of DPRP, welcomed the SEC’s approval:
“We welcome the SEC’s approval of the extension, which will give more investors across Africa the opportunity to participate in the Offer. From the outset, our ambition has been to enable as many people as possible to participate in the IPO and share in DPRP’s future growth. The additional time will help us extend that opportunity to more investors across Africa.”
