The United States Department of Homeland Security has added 10 Nigerians to its “Worst of the Worst” register of criminal immigrants arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
The latest names were published on the DHS website and include individuals accused or convicted in cases involving wire fraud, identity theft, child-related offences, dangerous drugs, aggravated assault, weapons possession and conspiracy.
The 10 Nigerians listed are Temitope Bashua, Ojehoro Lewis, Osemudiamen Kingsley Oziegbe, Daniel Oworen, Raymond H. Ekevwo, Franklin Dikeocha, Johnson Ogunlana, Chukwuemeka Okorocha, Tunde Korede and Chukwuemeka Chinye.
Multiple Crimes
Bashua, in Allenwood, Pennsylvania, is listed in connection with wire fraud, identity theft and fraud. Lewis, in Conroe, Texas, is listed for cruelty toward a child, while Oziegbe, in Louisville, Kentucky, is associated with wire fraud.
Oworen, also in Conroe, is listed for dangerous drugs. Ekevwo, in Oxford, Wisconsin, is associated with wire fraud, while Dikeocha, in Dallas, is listed for a sex offence against a child involving fondling.
Ogunlana, in White Deer, Pennsylvania, is listed for fraud and identity theft. Okorocha, in Allenwood, is associated with wire fraud, dangerous drugs, possession of a weapon and aggravated assault involving a non-family gun.
Korede, in Allenwood, is listed for conspiracy, while Chinye, in Pollock, Louisiana, is associated with larceny from a banking-type institution, fraud, larceny, identity theft and conspiracy.
DHS said the register is intended to highlight what it describes as the “worst of worst criminal aliens” arrested by ICE.
In July, the US government published the names and photographs of 124 Nigerians arrested by ICE and placed on the same register.
