Renaissance Africa Energy Company Limited, operator of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC), Renaissance JV, TotalEnergies, AENR Joint Venture, has commenced applications for the 17th NNPC/Renaissance JV Niger Delta Postgraduate Overseas Scholarship for applicants from Bayelsa, Delta, Imo and Rivers States.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must:
– Display intellectual ability and leadership potential.
– Have an adequate standard of English (at least 6.5 in IELTS) and meet the university’s language requirements.
– Have been offered admission to study on one of the eligible courses through the university’s normal application process.
– Already hold (or expect to hold by the commencement date) a degree equivalent to a UK Upper Second-Class Honours degree.
– Have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme by September 2026.
– Be a resident of Bayelsa, Delta, Imo or Rivers State.
– Not have previously studied in the UK or another developed country.
– Be aged between 21–28 years by 30 September 2026.
– Hold a Nigerian international passport valid until December 2027.
– Employees, employees’ relatives, or former employees (who left employment less than five years ago) of Renaissance JV or the participating universities are not eligible to apply.

Application Process
- Submit an application for admission to any of the participating universities for one of the qualifying courses.
- Scholarship application forms will ONLY be processed after the offer of admission has been received through the University of Aberdeen, Newcastle or Robert Gordon University following submission of all required documentation.
- The universities will provide application forms and advice on how to submit them by 17 July 2026.
- Completed scholarship application forms must reach the participating universities no later than 17 July 2026.
- The scholarship covers tuition fees and one return economy flight. A living expenses grant will be paid monthly.
– This is a non-repayable scholarship. Recipients are not under any obligation to work for Renaissance JV or any of its affiliates after graduation.
– Renaissance JV will undertake cost of medical test for shortlisted candidates. Health insurance is provided by the universities.
– Renaissance JV will not replace any lost or stolen funds.
