Profile: Ogochukwu Efobi, New KPMG Nigeria Head of People Operations

Ogochukwu Efobi has been appointed Head of People Operations at KPMG Nigeria, joining the firm’s People Performance and Culture team after nearly eight years at NSIA Insurance.

Announcing the appointment on LinkedIn, Efobi described the move as the beginning of an exciting new chapter in her career.

“This new chapter represents an exciting opportunity to contribute to a global professional services firm known for excellence, integrity, collaboration, and impact,” she wrote, expressing appreciation for the mentors, colleagues, and experiences that have shaped her career. She also said she looks forward to collaborating with her new team to advance people, performance, and culture initiatives at KPMG Nigeria.

Seasoned HR Professional

Efobi brings more than a decade of progressive human resources experience spanning HR operations, talent management, employee engagement, and organizational development.

Before joining KPMG Nigeria, she served as Human Resources Operations Manager at NSIA Insurance Limited, where she spent almost eight years supporting HR business partnering, talent management, and people operations.

Her career began at InfoGraphics Nigeria, where she steadily advanced through multiple HR roles—from Human Resources/Admin Assistant to Human Resource & Admin Officer, and later Human Resources & Administration Manager.

During this period, she gained broad experience across recruitment, employee relations, staff welfare, office administration, facility management, and talent development.

Her appointment underscores KPMG Nigeria’s continued investment in strengthening its people function as organizations place increasing emphasis on talent strategy, employee experience, and organizational culture.

With her extensive background in HR operations and people management, Efobi is expected to play a key role in supporting KPMG Nigeria’s workforce strategy and enhancing operational excellence across its people function.
