RegalStone Capital is hiring an investment research intern in Lagos to support research, analysis, and insight development across projects focused on the creative economy, venture ecosystems, culture, and emerging industries in Africa.
This role is ideal for someone intellectually curious, highly disciplined, detail-oriented, and excited about how finance, research, policy, media, technology, and culture intersect. The intern will support market intelligence, investment research, ecosystem mapping, and data-driven storytelling across advisory and research projects. You will gain hands-on exposure to investment research, the African creative economy, and real-world advisory projects while working closely with a fast-growing team shaping culture, capital, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
– Conduct market and investment research across sectors, including film, music, fashion, media, art, technology, and the broader creative economy
– Gather, clean, organize, and analyze quantitative and qualitative data
– Support the development of industry reports, investment memos, presentations, and research briefs
– Track ecosystem trends, funding activity, policy developments, and market opportunities
– Assist with competitor analysis, benchmarking, and stakeholder mapping
– Summarize insights from reports, interviews, databases, and public sources into clear findings
– Support data visualization and preparation of charts, tables, and dashboards
– Participate in internal strategy discussions and project execution support
Requirements
– Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Management Sciences, Economics, Statistics, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields. **[NYSC Preferred]**
– Strong research and analytical skills
– Interest in the creative economy, culture, entrepreneurship, innovation, and investment ecosystems
– Strong written and verbal communication skills
– Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with data analysis tools is an advantage
– Highly organized, disciplined, curious, and detail-oriented
