About the Role

The Director of Content will lead the creation and execution of marketing content designed to connect deeply with consumers across Coca-Cola’s franchise markets in Africa.

Working closely with category teams, marketing strategists, and media partners, the successful candidate will ensure campaigns are culturally relevant, insight-driven, and optimized for both digital and traditional platforms.

The role also involves collaborating with internal teams and external agencies to develop creative assets, manage campaign production, and deliver high-impact marketing initiatives that support business growth across the region.

Key Responsibilities

The Director of Content will be responsible for:

  • Developing and deploying culturally relevant marketing content across franchise markets
  • Ensuring consistency in tone, messaging, and brand identity across campaigns
  • Translating cultural insights and social trends into compelling creative ideas
  • Collaborating with category teams and marketing strategists to develop integrated campaign briefs
  • Managing creative, digital, and production agencies across the franchise network
  • Overseeing full-funnel content production including localization of global marketing platforms
  • Driving the adoption of AI-enabled production and modular content systems
  • Supporting campaign amplification across influencer, experiential, and digital channels
  • Using analytics and creative testing to improve campaign performance
  • Managing production and deployment budgets while ensuring cost efficiency and ROI

Requirements

Applicants interested in the position should have:

  • At least 10 years of experience in content development, creative leadership, or agency management
  • Strong experience leading multi-country marketing campaigns
  • Proven ability to manage creative agencies and large-scale production processes
  • Experience working within digital ecosystems and integrated marketing teams
  • Deep understanding of African culture, consumer behavior, and social trends
  • Strong stakeholder management skills within complex organizational structures

Additional experience in media, brand strategy, digital marketing, and asset management systems will be considered an advantage.
