Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, Defender Calvin Bassey and Midfielder Ademola Lookman have been named in the official AFCON 2025 team of the tournament following their impressive performances in the competition.
Victor Osimhen ended the tournament with four goals, including a brace against Mozambique in the round of 16, despite having a slow start to the tournament, while Ademola Lookman ended the tournament with four assists and three goals in an unforgettable run, which ended with a third-place finish.
Calvin Bassey was an ever-present rock in defence for Nigeria and the 26-year-old was arguably Nigeria’s best player at the tournament.

Nigeria, Senegal, Morocco Dominate List
The entire list was made up of players from hosts Morocco, eventual winners Senegal and Nigeria proving the three teams’ dominance at the tournament.
Player of the Tournament Senegal’s Sadio Mane also made the list in addition to Morocco’s captain and reigning CAF player of the year, Achraf Hakimi.
