Marvel Studios continues its weekly rollout of teasers for the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday, and the latest preview focuses squarely on the mutant heroes that defined superhero cinema in the early 2000s.
The new footage showcases the return of several actors from the original X-Men film franchise, with Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen reprising their iconic roles as Professor Charles Xavier and Magneto.
The teaser includes glimpses of the Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters and features the two longtime adversaries engaged in a chess match, echoing memorable scenes from previous films.

James Marsden also appears briefly as Cyclops, unleashing his signature optic blast during what appears to be an intense battle sequence. The footage concludes with a promising declaration: “The X-Men will return.”
This marks the third weekly teaser for the film, following previous previews that highlighted Chris Evans returning as Captain America and Chris Hemsworth as Thor. The inclusion of these Fox X-Men characters represents a significant milestone for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which has gradually integrated mutant characters following Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox.
According to previous announcements, Avengers: Doomsday will feature a substantial roster of returning X-Men actors, including Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler, Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, Kelsey Grammer as Beast, and Channing Tatum as Gambit. Whether additional cast members like Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry, or Famke Janssen will appear remains unconfirmed.
The film is scheduled for theatrical release on December 18, 2026.
