The Nigeria Incentive-Based Risk Sharing System for Agricultural Lending (NIRSAL Plc) NIRSAL Plc has announced the appointment of Ewaen Imohe as Executive Director, Operations, as the institution moves to strengthen its leadership team and deepen support for Nigeria’s agriculture value chain.
Imohe joins NIRSAL with more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, covering capital markets, investment management and infrastructure finance.
Before his appointment, he was Founder and Managing Director of Kairos Investments Africa, an investment management and advisory firm. He previously served as Managing Director of TIB Asset Management Limited, the SEC-regulated asset management arm of The Infrastructure Bank Plc.
Career
His career also spans senior roles in both the United Kingdom and Nigeria with leading global and regional institutions, including Franklin Templeton Investments, Goldman Sachs Asset Management, Sub Sahara Capital LLP and Investment One Financial Services Limited.
Imohe holds a BSc (Hons) in Economics and Statistics from the University of Benin and an MBA (with Distinction) from the University of Oxford. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), UK.
In his new role at NIRSAL Plc, Imohe will oversee the organisation’s operational functions, with a mandate to ensure effective delivery of its mission to de-risk agriculture, attract greater investment into agribusiness, and make the sector more viable and sustainable across Nigeria.
NIRSAL said it looks forward to the “fresh insights, leadership and strategic direction” he will bring as the institution seeks to scale up its impact on the country’s agricultural economy.
