ABC Transport Plc has reported strong finances for the nine months ended September 30, 2025, posting a pre-tax profit of N926.8 million, a sharp turnaround from the N1.3 million recorded in the same period of 2024.
The company’s profit after tax also surged by 363% year-on-year to N585.6 million, driven by robust revenue growth, higher operating income, and effective cost management.
Revenue and Expenses
ABC Transport’s revenue rose by 48.0% to N11.92 billion in the first nine months of 2025, compared to N8.05 billion in the corresponding period last year.
Load and waybill operations contributed the largest share at N3.67 billion, followed by haulage services at N3.60 billion, while transport services accounted for N2.3 billion.
Despite higher operating costs with direct costs rising 46.1% to N9.38 billion due to increased fuel, maintenance, and logistics expenses, the company achieved a 55.6% increase in gross profit, reaching N2.54 billion compared to N1.63 billion in the same period of 2024.
Administrative expenses remained largely stable at N1.69 billion, compared to N1.67 billion a year earlier.
Other operating income climbed 37.2% year-on-year to N424.8 million, supported mainly by franchise income of N343.1 million. Additionally, finance costs dropped from N362.4 million to ₦299.5 million, reflecting better debt management and reduced interest expenses.
After accounting for an income tax expense of N341.2 million, net profit stood at N585.7 million, compared to N126.3 million in the previous year.
