Canada has proposed new Express Entry visa categories aimed at attracting Senior managers, researchers, scientists, and skilled military personnel from allied countries.
Under the new category, Senior managers, researchers, scientists, and skilled military personnel from allied countries would find it easier to secure permanent residence as part of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada’s (IRCC) efforts to drive innovation, especially in areas like AI, biotech, and clean energy, as well as strengthening national defense.
Implementation Timeline
The proposed changes are still in the consultation stage. Public feedback is open until September 3, 2025, and if all goes as planned, the new categories could launch in 2026.
