Zichis Agro Allied Industries Plc has announced a N2 billion non-equity strategic capital injection from its core promoters, Chilla Entertainment Limited and Winners Investment & Trust Limited, in a move designed to accelerate the company’s long-term expansion roadmap toward a N50 billion growth target.
The funding, structured as a senior liability, will be recorded on the company’s balance sheet as long-term debt and is expected to be converted into equity at a future capital market event, including a public offer or rights issue. The company described the transaction as a strong signal of internal confidence in its growth trajectory and sector strategy.
Expansion strategy across integrated agribusiness value chain
Zichis Agro Allied Industries said the injection will support its broader transformation agenda into a fully integrated agro-industrial enterprise. The company’s expansion programme spans key agricultural value chain segments including feed production, poultry farming, palm cultivation, and agro-processing.
According to the company, the roadmap is designed to position Zichis as a leading player in Nigeria’s agribusiness sector, leveraging scale, vertical integration, and improved production efficiency to meet rising domestic and regional food demand.
The ₦2 billion commitment from Chilla Entertainment Limited and Winners Investment & Trust Limited is being interpreted as a strong endorsement of the company’s strategic direction and governance structure.
Strong Positioning within Nigeria’s agribusiness growth landscape
Nigeria’s agricultural sector continues to attract increasing private capital amid ongoing efforts to reduce import dependence and strengthen food security. Integrated agribusiness models, such as Zichis’ approach, are increasingly seen as critical to improving productivity and reducing inefficiencies across fragmented supply chains.
With its planned expansion, Zichis Agro is positioning itself within a competitive segment of the market that includes feed production, livestock farming, and agro-processing enterprises targeting both local consumption and export opportunities.
