Mrs Ebelechukwu Nwachukwu has been elected the Chairman of the Nigerian Insurers Association, becoming the first woman to hold the position.
Ebelechukwu Nwachukwu is an experienced insurance professional having worked in the insurance industry for 27 years and counting mostly in senior executive positions.
Professional History
She currently serves as Managing Director of Royal Exchange General Insurance Company, a position she has held since 2023. Before that, she served as Managing Director/CEO of NSIA Insurance limited as well as in similar capacity at Zenith General Insurance Company Limited between April 2008 and February 2017.
She has also served as the Senior Manager/Head of Marketing – Cards Division at UBA Group and Deputy General Manager/Divisional Head, Retail and Channel Management at UBA Insurance Company Limited
Academic Background
Mrs Ebelechukwu holds a degree in Executive Education from the London Business School, and a Certificate of Business Excellence from the Columbia Business School.
She also holds a Masters of Business Administration (M.B.A.) and a Bachelors of Arts degree in Linguistics from the University of Benin.
