The Nigerian Army has announced the commencement of recruitment for its 2025 89 regular recruits intake for Trades/Non-Tradesmen and Women.
Entry Requirements
Applicants must be single, be a Nigerian citizen, and possess a National Identity Number (NIN) and Bank Verification Number (BVN) slip. Applicants are also expected to be medically, physically, and psychologically fit in accordance with Nigerian Army standards.
In addition, applicants should possess a minimum of five credit passes including English Language in not more than two sittings in WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB, or NBAIS. Applicants for Tradesmen/Women should also possess a Trade Test City and Guild certificate.
Applicants for non-tradesmen and women must be between 18-22 years while tradesmen and tradeswomen applicants must not be more than 26 years old as of June 2025 with a valid birth certificate to back up their claims.
Applicants should also possess a valid state of origin certificate and must not be less than 1.68 and 1.65 meters tall for males and females respectively.
Application Guidelines
Interested candidates are to apply online via the Army recruitment portal on recruitment.army.mil.ng using their username and password after creating an account, complete the application and guarantor form online, and then print the same to be submitted at state recruitment centers.
Multiple application leads to automatic disqualification and all presented documents would be verified by the issuing authorities with those with fake documents handed over to the police for prosecution.

The application runs from 31st March – May 17th, 2025.
