The National Examinations Council (NECO) has released the results of the 2026 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) Internal, with 84.70 per cent of candidates recording at least five credits.
NECO Registrar and Chief Executive, Prof. Dantani Wushishi, announced the release on Thursday at a news conference held at the council’s headquarters in Minna, Niger State.
How to check the 2026 NECO result
Candidates will need their NECO registration number and result-checking token to access their results.
1. Visit the NECO result portal
Go to the official NECO result-checking portal at results.neco.gov.ng.
2. Select the examination year
Select 2026 as the examination year and choose the appropriate examination type, including SSCE Internal.
3. Enter your result-checking token
Enter your NECO Result Checking Token in the designated field.
Candidates without a token can purchase one through the official NECO result portal by following the payment instructions provided.
4. Enter your registration number
Input your NECO registration number carefully and confirm that the details entered are correct.
5. Check your result
Click “Check Result” to view your 2026 NECO SSCE result.
Candidates whose results do not appear should confirm that they selected the correct examination year and examination type and entered their registration number and token correctly.
NECO has advised candidates to use its official result portal and avoid giving their examination details to unverified individuals or websites.
