Lekki Council Kicks Off Registration for Renewed Hope CCT Beneficiaries

The Ibeju-Lekki Local Government has commenced registration of residents for the Renewed Hope Conditional Cash Transfer

The Ibeju-Lekki Local Government has commenced registration of residents for the Renewed Hope Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) programme, the council chairman announced on Tuesday.

The registration will take place from October 7 to October 14, starting with Ward B as the first phase.

According to Chairman Sesan Olowa, the initiative aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda on poverty reduction and social inclusion.

Residents are to visit designated centres in their wards on scheduled dates with the following required documents and information:

Full name and date of birth

Gender, marital status, and contact phone number

Valid identification (Voter’s Card, LASRRA, NIN, or BVN)

Address and household details

Family size, income level, occupation, health status, and disability information

The council emphasized that the exercise is entirely free and urged residents to provide accurate information for fair data capture.  Verification and registration centres will be established across all wards.

The CCT scheme is part of the Federal Government’s National Social Investment Programme (NSIP), intended to ease the impact of economic reforms and uplift vulnerable low-income households.

The chairman said the programme will especially support women, the elderly, and persons with disabilities by providing financial relief and promoting economic stability.
