Africa Prudential Plc has appointed Mrs. Omolayo Akindemowo, a Chartered Accountant, as Acting Chief Finance Officer (CFO) pending the appointment of a substantive finance chief.
The company disclosed that Akindemowo will oversee the firm’s financial management and reporting functions on an interim basis while the board completes the process of selecting a permanent CFO.
Her appointment comes at a time when the Lagos-based financial services firm continues to expand its technology-driven registrar and investor-services operations within Nigeria’s capital market.
New Responsibilities
As Acting CFO, Akindemowo will be responsible for financial strategy, reporting, budgeting, and ensuring regulatory compliance with financial reporting standards while supporting the company’s corporate governance framework.
Akindemowo is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and has built professional experience in financial reporting, business analysis and corporate finance within the financial services sector. Her appointment reflects the company’s strategy of strengthening internal leadership capacity while maintaining continuity in its finance operations.
