The Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) has announced the opening of applications for the 2026 edition of the Kofi Annan Fellowship in Global Health Leadership, targeting emerging and aspirational leaders across the African continent.

The call for applications, released on Wednesday, is for the programme’s sixth cohort and underscores Africa CDC’s commitment to building a new generation of leaders equipped to strengthen public health systems and advance health security in Africa.

Africa CDC noted that the fellowship seeks individuals with strong leadership potential and a commitment to driving impactful change in public health across Africa.
