The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the activation of its INECPRES online portal for the recruitment of ad-hoc election personnel ahead of the 2027 General Election.
According to a public notice published in Daily Trust on Thursday, September 17, 2026, the recruitment portal is scheduled to open at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, September 18 and close at midnight on Wednesday, November 18, 2026.
The recruitment is open to eligible Nigerians seeking to serve as Supervisory Presiding Officers (SPOs), Presiding Officers (POs), Assistant Presiding Officers (APOs), Registration Area Centre (RAC) Managers and Registration Area Technical Officers (RATEOHs).
INEC uses ad-hoc personnel to support election-day operations, including the supervision of polling and registration-area activities. The Commission identifies election officials as playing a key role in the conduct and credibility of elections.
