Profile: Azeez Adetayo ACA, VFD Group Acting Chief Financial Officer

VFD Group Plc has appointed Mr Azeez Adetayo, ACA, as its Acting Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately , following the transition of the Company’s substantive Chief Financial Officer.

Prior to his appointment, Adetayo served as Financial Controller (Senior Finance Manager) at VFD Group Plc, where he played a key role in strengthening the group’s financial management and reporting functions.

A chartered accountant (ACA) with more than a decade of professional experience, Adetayo brings extensive expertise in financial management, corporate reporting, investment management, treasury operations, sustainability reporting, internal controls, strategic finance, enterprise risk management, regulatory compliance, capital management, and stakeholder reporting.

Earlier Roles

Before joining VFD Group, he served as Finance Business Partner, Audit West Africa at Deloitte, where he deepened his expertise in financial strategy, governance, and business performance management. He also held positions as Corporate Finance Associate at African Circle Pollution Management Limited, Treasury Analyst at natnudO Foods, and Account Officer at Kolawole Sanusi Nigeria Limited.

At VFD Group, he progressed through several leadership roles, serving as Finance Manager, Group Finance Manager, and most recently Financial Controller (Senior Finance Manager), demonstrating a strong track record in financial leadership and corporate stewardship.

Adetayo holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting from Ajayi Crowther University and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Bells University of Technology.

His appointment underscores VFD Group’s commitment to leadership continuity and sound financial governance as the company continues to pursue its strategic growth objectives.
