Chemical and Allied Products Plc (CAP) has appointed Mr. Olalekan Aluko as its new Managing Director, effective June 25, 2026. He succeeds Mrs Bolarin Okunowo, who will transition to a new executive role within the UAC Group, CAP’s parent company, starting on the same date.
The CAP board expressed gratitude to Mrs. Okunowo for her leadership, highlighting her contributions to operational efficiency, governance, and strategic growth, and wished her success in her new position.
Experience
Olalekan Aluko brings extensive leadership experience in supply chain and operations management. He previously served Chief Supply Chain Officer (Mar 2025 – Present) of the company.

He also served as Head of Operations (Jul 2022 – Mar 2025): Oversaw manufacturing, engineering, quality control, HSE compliance, and business continuity. Ensured operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and staff development across CAP’s supply chain.
He has also worked with Suntory Beverage and Food Nigeria Ltd as Supply Chain and Plant Director (Dec 2019 – Aug 2022) and Head of Engineering (Oct 2016 – Dec 2019)
- GlaxoSmithKline Nigeria PLC – Site Electrical Manager (Jan 2014 – Sep 2016): Managed electrical installations, energy optimization, regulatory compliance, and preventive maintenance.
- Diageo Africa (Guinness Nigeria PLC) – Automation Engineer & Maintenance Planner (Nov 2010 – Dec 2013): Oversaw PLC programming, instrumentation, and maintenance strategy to reduce breakdowns and improve reliability.
- Earlier roles include engineering and project management positions at Olutemcon Associates Limited, Niyi Electrical Installation, and Digital Jewels Limited, providing a strong foundation in electrical systems, project planning, and technical analysis.

- Master of Business Administration (MBA), Production and Operations Management – Obafemi Awolowo University (2013–2015)
- Bachelor’s Degree, Electronic and Electrical Engineering – Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife (2001–2007)
