Manchester City reignited their Premier League title challenge with a dramatic 2–1 comeback victory over Liverpool at Anfield keeping pressure on league leaders Arsenal in a gripping title race.
Liverpool had taken the lead in the 74th minute through a superb Dominik Szoboszlai free-kick, which curled beyond the City wall to put the hosts ahead in a tense second-half battle.
City responded with urgency and composure. Bernardo Silva restored parity in the 84th minute, finishing clinically after a clever knock-down from Erling Haaland as Guardiola’s side pushed relentlessly for an equaliser.

The comeback was completed minutes later when City were awarded a penalty, calmly converted by Haaland, who sent the Liverpool goalkeeper the wrong way to seal a crucial victory and hand City all three points.
There was further late drama after Manchester City had a goal disallowed for a foul by Erling Haaland but Dominic szobozlai was sent off for an earlier foul on Erling Haaland.
The win keeps Manchester City firmly in contention in the title race, narrowing the gap to the summit and ensuring that the pressure remains on Arsenal as the season enters its decisive phase.
City’s night was not without concern, however, as defender Abdukodir Khusanov was forced off with a concussion, adding to Guardiola’s growing injury list ahead of a demanding run of fixtures.
