The Nigeria Police Force (NPF), through the Police Service Commission (PSC), has reminded Nigerians that the ongoing recruitment portal for 50,000 constable positions remains active until February 8, 2026.
The extension follows an initial closing date of January 25/26 and was granted due to lower application numbers in key states like Lagos and Ogun, despite over 400,000 submissions already received.
Recruitment Overview and Extension Details
Launched in mid-December 2025, the exercise targets General Duty constables to enhance operational capacity across the country. The PSC and NPF emphasized transparency, gender inclusivity, and adherence to federal character principles during stakeholder engagements.
The official portal saw high traffic early on, but the extension provides a final window for eligible candidates, particularly in underrepresented regions.
