Nigeria delivered a commanding performance to defeat Mozambique 4–0 in their Africa Cup of Nations Round of 16 clash, booking a place in the quarterfinals in style.

The Super Eagles set the tone early, with Ademola Lookman opening the scoring in the 20th minute before Victor Osimhen doubled the lead shortly after.

Nigeria went into halftime firmly in control at 2–0.

Osimhen struck again moments into the second half to extend Nigeria’s advantage, while A. Adams sealed the emphatic victory with a fourth goal in the 75th minute.

Despite a few yellow cards, Nigeria remained disciplined and composed, limiting Mozambique to few chances and asserting dominance throughout the match.

The result sends a strong message to Nigeria’s AFCON rivals as the Super Eagles continue their push for continental glory.
