Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has been relieved of his position just a little over a year after taking the job due to disagreements with the club’s board.
This brings days of speculation to a climax following a drift between the manager and the club’s hierarchy that has climaxed this season.
Maresca argues the club has not protected him enough from external criticism, hence the decision. Official confirmation is set to come within the coming days.
