Atalanta Appoints Raffaele Palladino as New Head Coach Through 2027

Atalanta has named Raffaele Palladino as their new head coach. The 41-year-old Italian manager has inked a deal that extends until June 2027, marking a fresh chapter for the team known as “La Dea.”

This announcement comes shortly after the dismissal of previous coach Ivan Juric on Monday, following a disappointing 3-0 loss at home to Sassuolo, a team fresh from promotion. Juric’s stint lasted only 11 games into the 2025-26 season.

Palladino steps in after his time at Fiorentina, where he started in 2024 on a two-year contract. There, he focused on an offensive style of play and nurturing young talent, garnering positive feedback even amid a rocky conclusion to his role.

Atalanta’s CEO, Luca Percassi, has voiced strong support for Palladino’s approach and direction. The new coach’s immediate challenges include steering the club through their domestic league efforts and ongoing European fixtures.

This development signals Atalanta’s intent to sustain their momentum in Italian and continental competitions.
