Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare has joined EPL side Wolverhampton Wanderers from Belgian club Genk in a reported £24 million (€27 million) deal.
The 24-year-old forward has signed a four-year contract with an option for a fifth, in response to the club’s pressing need for increased firepower. Arokodare is seen as a partner, rather than a replacement, for Jørgen Strand Larsen.
At Genk, Arokodare finished as the Belgian Jupiler Pro League joint-top scorer last season with 21 league goals and 23 across all competitions, while also delivering seven assists. Since joining the Belgian side in January 2023, he has amassed 41 goals in 113 appearances.
