Seplat Energy Plc has fixed an exchange rate of ₦1,537.09 per US dollar for converting its Q2 2025 interim dividend to Nigerian Naira.

The rate, disclosed in a Nigerian Exchange filing by CFO Eleanor Adaralegbe, is based on the Central Bank of Nigeria’s NFEM rate as of August 12, 2025.

Shareholders will receive US 4.6 cents per 50 kobo share, payable August 28, 2025, with the total payout amounting to $67.7 million, a 28% rise from H1 2024’s $53 million.

In Q2 2025, Seplat’s revenue surged 206.5% year-on-year to ₦939.2 billion, propelling H1 revenue to ₦2.1 trillion, already 31% above its full-year 2024 total.

This sharp growth was driven by increased crude oil production, with offshore output up 11% quarter-on-quarter. Q2 gross profit rose 18% to ₦215.8 billion, lifting H1 gross profit 204% to ₦751.2 billion.

Despite this, pre-tax profit edged down 0.76% to ₦139.4 billion from ₦140.5 billion in Q2 2024.
