Kredete Acquires Gravv to Build Stablecoin Infrastructure for Global Payments

The acquisition marks a shift beyond Kredete’s consumer-facing financial services into the infrastructure layer connecting traditional banking systems

Nigerian fintech startup Kredete has announced a $22 million Series A funding round, aimed at scaling its credit-building platform and launching Africa's inaugural stablecoin

Nigerian fintech Kredete has acquired Gravv, an agentic stablecoin infrastructure platform, as it expands into the infrastructure powering real-time global money movement across emerging markets.

The acquisition brings Gravv’s technology into Kredete’s operations and gives the fintech greater control over stablecoin settlement, multi-currency accounts, foreign exchange, liquidity, payment routing and reconciliation across global financial rails.

Kredete said it currently enables users to send money to more than 60 countries and has processed more than $18 billion in annualised payments volume. The company has raised $24.75 million in total funding and says it serves more than 6.5 million users.

Founded in 2022 by Adeola Adedewe, Kredete provides financial services for consumers, businesses and diaspora communities in emerging markets. The company said the acquisition will also allow banks, fintechs, platforms and developers serving emerging markets to access Gravv’s infrastructure.

Kredete said the acquisition will allow it to extend Gravv beyond its existing customer base and make the infrastructure available to new businesses and developers.

“Infrastructure is the moat, and intelligence is the operating layer,” Adedewe, founder and CEO of Kredete, said.

About Gravv

Gravv has processed more than $3 billion in annualised transaction volume for more than 1,000 businesses across over 100 countries, with support from seven global banking partners.

Gravv connects multi-currency accounts, global payments, card issuance, treasury services, bank partners, blockchain networks and local payout rails through a single integration. Its agentic technology is designed to monitor liquidity, select payment routes, manage foreign exchange and settlement, and reconcile transactions in real time.

The acquisition marks a shift beyond Kredete’s consumer-facing financial services into the infrastructure layer connecting traditional banking systems, blockchain networks and local payment rails. By combining the two platforms, Kredete aims to provide infrastructure for real-time movement and settlement of money across emerging markets.
