Julius Berger Cashew Processing Facility
Julius Berger commissioned its modern cashew processing plant in Epe, Lagos State, known as Mighty Kashoo in September 2022. The semi-automated plant has a daily processing capacity of about 60 metric tons of raw cashew nuts.
The cashew nut used in the plant is farmed and processed locally with the aim of producing kernels, packaged products of increased quality domestically and in the long run capture the local market as opposed to emphasising exports.
Julius Berger has partnerships with farmers in the supply chain with the branded product from the facility being the “Mighty Kashoo” cashew. Eko Organic Food Industries Limited would now be tasked with increasing the viability of the cashew plant.
