Infinix Goes Big on Luxury Design With Note 60 Ultra Set to Launch in 2026

The device is Infinix' entry into the high-end smartphone market

Infinix is preparing to launch its forthcoming Infinix Note 60 Ultra, a device expected to redefine the brand’s identity through an unprecedented partnership with Italian design powerhouse Pininfarina.

The Note 60 Ultra, scheduled for launch in 2026, is already generating major buzz across the mobile industry. Not because of its specs most of which remain unconfirmed but because Infinix appears ready to use this model as its entry point into the premium-design category, a space typically dominated by Apple, Samsung, and Xiaomi.

Premium Leap Fueled by Italian Design

In early December, Infinix announced a strategic collaboration with Pininfarina, the Turin-based studio world-renowned for shaping some of the most iconic Ferrari, Maserati, and Alfa Romeo vehicles.

With nearly a century of automotive design excellence, Pininfarina brings a new creative direction aimed at infusing Infinix’s future devices with what the company calls “heritage, elegance, lifestyle, and performance.”

The Infinix Note 60 Ultra will be the first smartphone to emerge from this partnership, signaling a dramatic shift in design language for the brand. Early promotional materials emphasize sculpted lines, premium materials, and a stronger lifestyle orientation—far from the budget-focused designs Infinix has long been associated with.

Power-Packed Device

While Infinix is keeping official specifications under wraps, a number of early leaks and regional listings paint a picture of a device that blends high-end design with high-capacity hardware.

Rumoured features include:

A 6.78-inch AMOLED display, potentially with an ultra-smooth 120–144Hz refresh rate.

Triple rear cameras, with leaks suggesting a 50MP primary lens and possibly a high-resolution 50MP selfie camera.

A massive 7000mAh battery, which would make the Note 60 Ultra one of the largest-battery smartphones in its class.

Up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, positioning it competitively among upper-midrange flagships.

An octa-core processor, speculated to be part of MediaTek’s Dimensity series.

None of these details have been officially confirmed, and industry watchers caution that some leaked specifications may be placeholders or early test-bench figures.

New Direction for Infinix

For years, Infinix has dominated the African and Asian mid-range segments with aggressively priced models. But with the Note 60 Ultra, the brand seems ready to attempt a repositioning, seeking buyers who value aesthetics and experience as much as specifications.

If successful, the Note 60 Ultra could mark a turning point for Infinix, broadening its global appeal and elevating its brand perception.

As the 2026 launch window approaches, all eyes will be on Infinix for:

Official specification releases, Pricing details, which will determine whether the device sits in premium mid-range or true flagship territory and hands-on previews, to assess whether the design partnership extends beyond aesthetics

Software commitments is also an area where Infinix has faced criticism in the past but with its combination of Italian-inspired craft and ambitious hardware rumours, the Infinix Note 60 Ultra could quickly become one of the most intriguing smartphones of 2026.
