Grammy-winning Nigerian artist Burna Boy asked a couple to leave his concert in Denver, United States, for allegedly falling asleep during his performance.
The incident occurred mid-performance when Burna Boy paused his set, visibly irritated, and confronted a man whose partner appeared to be dozing off.
“When I stand up here and see you over there with your girl sleeping in front of me, it pisses me theup. So, please, take her home. Walahi I’m not performing another song till you go home,” he said, drawing gasps and cheers from the crowd.
Though the couple initially hesitated, they left after the audience joined in urging them to exit. The singer resumed his set afterwards.
The moment has since gone viral, drawing mixed reactions online with some fans supported Burna Boy’s demand for energy and respect during his shows, while others criticized him for ejecting paying concertgoers.
This is not the first time Burnaboy has been in the middle of controversy. He previously made headlines for kicking a fan who ran onstage and once asked another to leave his concert for not dancing.
