This role is essential to driving Airtel Nigeria’s voice subscriber and revenue growth ahead of competitors. It involves leading strategies for voice products, managing vendor partnerships, and launching innovative initiatives to boost call volume and profitability.

Furthermore, the position also supports product launches through training and documentation for customer support. Additionally, the role ensures optimal pricing, regulatory compliance, and campaign effectiveness via the CLM platform. It identifies growth opportunities, develops targeted campaigns, and encourages cross-functional collaboration to improve time-to-market and operational efficiency. The individual also manages both the voice and CLM teams to achieve strategic goals.

Responsibilities
Voice Revenue, Usage and Retention:

  • Develop strategies and initiatives to achieve business targets
  • Leverage data and market research to get insights into consumer behavior and preferences and drive future programs and promotions
  • Track usage pattern to devise growth strategies
  • Keep track of customer life cycle and capabilities to drive ARPU growth

Product Development and Support:

  • Launch voice products for all segments to drive data penetration and revenue growth.
  • Develop CRfs, PCNs, Memos, Price Deviations, Business cases etc, required for necessary approvals and technical specifications for data products and services
  • Project manages technical development of products.
  • End to end functional subject matter expert for the product from idea generation through to product development, launch and constant tracking of status.
  • Document and train support teams

Special Product/Promo Management

  • Develop promo/campaign ideas
  • Run successful campaigns for Promos
  • Manage end to end of a special product that run in conjunction with multiple parties

CLM Management:

  • Provide inputs and enhancements to BTL campaigns.
  • Ensure campaign compliance with approved documentation.
  • Ensure positive performance of each campaign alongside campaign owner
  • Ensure audit compliance.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Manage partnerships with VAS partners driving call completion
  • Preparation of a product brief to Marcomms for developing internal and external communication strategy marketing campaigns
  • Documentation and training for customer support with respect to voice products and services

Qualifications and Requirements:

Educational Qualifications & Functional / Technical Skills:

  • University Degree in related field
  • MBA or master’s degree – a plus
  • Understanding of the industry sector and key customers in that sector inclusive of related strategies and business challenges
  • Ability to use market research gap analysis to develop profitable products and services.
  • Ability to manage the product life cycle.
  • Analytical thinker who can plan/execute action to exploit business opportunities based on data insights
  • Ability to present compelling business cases for investment in in-life products and services development as well as engagement platforms.  Utmost professional integrity

Relevant Experience:

  • 8+ years in a similar position + managerial experience
  • Experience of Telecommunications Industry or FMCG marketing environment
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to operate in a performance driven organization.
