Reckitt Nigeria has announced the appointment of Prince Abimbola Olashore as an Independent Non-Executive Director.

Experience

Beyond his new role at Reckitt Nigeria, Olashore currently serves as President and Chairman of Council of the Nigerian-British Chamber of Commerce (NBCC), where he provides strategic leadership aimed at deepening trade and investment relations between Nigeria and the United Kingdom. In this capacity, he has championed policy advocacy initiatives designed to improve the business environment while promoting stronger economic cooperation between both countries.

He also serves as Deputy President of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI), where he has played a leading role in promoting business-friendly policies, encouraging investment, and strengthening partnerships between government and the private sector. In addition, he chairs the Trade Promotion Board of the LCCI, overseeing trade missions, exhibitions, and market intelligence initiatives that help Nigerian businesses expand into regional and global markets.

In the education sector, Olashore has served as Chairman of the Board of Olashore International School since 2012, providing strategic oversight that has reinforced the institution’s commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and holistic learning. He is also a Board Trustee of the OISA Foundation, where he contributes to governance, financial oversight, strategic planning, and philanthropic initiatives focused on sustainable community development.

Executive Experience

Olashore is the Founder and Director of LeadCapital Plc, one of Nigeria’s diversified financial services groups. During his leadership of the company, he spearheaded its transformation into a major player in investment banking by expanding its operations into stockbroking, asset management, investment advisory, and other financial services while successfully navigating industry recapitalisation and regulatory reforms.

Between 2017 and 2020, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Lead Advisory Group, leading the firm’s strategic advisory and financial consulting services for emerging corporates and small and medium-sized enterprises.

Earlier in his career, Olashore was Executive Director at Ecobank Transnational Incorporated, where he led the Wholesale Banking Group. He played a pivotal role in expanding Ecobank’s investment banking business across Africa, contributing to the institution’s emergence as one of the continent’s leading pan-African banking groups.

Education

Academically, Olashore holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from IESE Business School and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the University of Hull.

His appointment to the Reckitt Nigeria board is expected to further strengthen the company’s governance framework while bringing extensive expertise in corporate strategy, financial services, international business, and institutional leadership to support its continued growth in Nigeria.
