Meet Sylva Ifedigbo: Director, Corporate Communications, Nigeria at IHS Towers

Sylva Ifedigbo has been appointed Director, Corporate Communications, Nigeria at IHS Towers. He is a seasoned communications professional who has had stints at multiple organisations including PwC.

In the new role, Sylva Ifedigbo will lead IHS Nigeria’s communications agenda, overseeing internal and external communications strategy, enhancing stakeholder relations, and advancing corporate reputation.

Prior to his promotion, he served as Associate Director, Corporate Communications, Nigeria at IHS Towers from August 2024 to March 2026, where responsibilities included leading communications strategy and increasing the company’s profile locally and internationally.

Before joining IHS Towers, Ifedigbo was Country Lead, Marketing, Communication and Business Development at PwC Nigeria, where they led client and market development initiatives, executive communications, media relations, digital presence, and strategic stakeholder engagement.

Earlier experience also includes serving as Internal Communications and Sustainability Manager for West and Central Africa at BAT, with oversight across 16 markets. The role combined strategic communications with environmental, social, and governance initiatives.

Sylva Ifedigbo spent more than six years at PwC Nigeria in progressively senior positions, including Manager, Corporate Communications & PR and Senior Associate, Marketing Communications. Responsibilities included crisis communications, executive thought leadership, digital strategy, internal engagement, and reputation management.

Additional experiences spans corporate communications and research roles at Mobitel Limited, editorial work as a columnist at Daily Times Nigeria Limited, and project communications roles at TVCLabs.
