UBA Non-Executive Director Angela Adebayo Purchases Shares Worth N116 Million in Insider Transaction

The disclosure stated that Mrs. Adebayo purchased a total of 3,026,801 ordinary shares of UBA at a price of N38.55 per share with the transactions executed in two tranches—2,336,281 units and 690,520 units between December 3 and 4, 2025, on the floor of the Nigerian Exchange in Lagos

United Bank for Africa Plc (UBA) Non-Executive Director, Mrs. Angela Adebayo, has acquired additional shares in the Group worth approximately N116 million.

This was revealed in a regulatory filing on insider trading by the bank on Tuesday.

The disclosure stated that Mrs. Adebayo purchased a total of 3,026,801 ordinary shares of UBA at a price of N38.55 per share with the transactions executed in two tranches—2,336,281 units and 690,520 units between December 3 and 4, 2025, on the floor of the Nigerian Exchange in Lagos.

Mrs. Angela Adebayo joined as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of the United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc in August 2018.
Before joining UBA’s board, Mrs. Adebayo had an extensive and varied career having served on the boards of several prominent organisations, including the Dangote Foundation, DN Meyer Plc, and Wemabod Estates Limited. She is also known for her significant contributions to the real estate sector.
She holds an M. Phil in Land Economy from the prestigious Cambridge University in addition to being a recognized council member of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).  she also chairs the Erelu Adebayo Foundation, which is dedicated to supporting underprivileged communities.
