Responsibilities
- Drive the organisation’s mission to deliver on its accessibility, affordability, availability, and awareness mandate, positioning the bank as Africa’s leading provider of inclusive digital payment solutions.
- Spearhead the development and deployment of transformative digital banking technologies, including the organisation’s patented phone-number-based payment system, to deepen financial inclusion and expand market reach.
- Lead commercial strategies that grow the mobile money ecosystem, enhance customer acquisition, and scale agent and subscriber networks across Nigeria.
- Build and nurture high-impact relationships with regulators (e.g., CBN), fintechs, telcos, and community agents to accelerate adoption and influence sector-wide innovation.
- Oversee governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks that support sustainable growth, profitability, and regulatory alignment.
- Lead the expansion of distribution infrastructure and marketing strategies to grow the bank’s digital and fintech footprint, especially in underserved and remote communities.
- Inspire and enable the executive team to deliver on strategic priorities with excellence, accountability, and a culture of innovation.
- Lead digital transformation initiatives that enhance stakeholder experience, build resilience, and position the bank for long-term success.
Qualifications
- A degree in a finance/business related discipline from a reputable institution.
- An MBA or Masters’ degree in any finance/business related discipline is an added advantage.
- Professional certification or membership of reputable Institutions (e.g., CIBN, IoD).
- Proven C-suite leadership and significant experience in financial technology and banking.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and change leadership abilities
- Passion for innovation, market development, and business expansion.
