The Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB) has advised candidates interested in registering for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to commence the creation of profiles as the examination body prepares to commence registration for the examination.

Creating a JAMB Profile in Easy Steps

Step 1: Get Your National Identification Number (NIN)

You must have a valid NIN before creating a JAMB profile.

  • Visit any NIMC enrolment centre to register if you do not already have one.

  • Ensure the name and date of birth on your NIN are correct, as JAMB will use these details.

Step 2: Generate Your JAMB Profile Code

You can generate your profile code in two ways:

Option A: Via SMS

  • Send an SMS with the format:
    NIN [space] Your 11-digit NIN
    to 55019 or 66019

  • Example:
    NIN 12345678901

  • You will receive a 10-digit JAMB Profile Code via SMS.

Option B: Via NIMC Mobile App

  • Log in to the NIMC Mobile App

  • Select JAMB Profile Code

  • Generate and copy the code

Step 3: Buy JAMB ePIN

  • Visit any accredited vendor, including:

    • Banks

    • Post offices

    • Online platforms approved by JAMB

  • Provide your JAMB Profile Code

  • Pay the required fee

  • You will receive a JAMB ePIN

Step 4: Register at an Accredited JAMB CBT Centre

  • Go to any JAMB-accredited CBT centre (registration is not done at cybercafés)

  • Present:

    • Your Profile Code

    • Your ePIN

  • Your biometrics (fingerprints and photograph) will be captured

  • Complete your registration details

Step 5: Confirm and Print Registration Slip

  • Carefully cross-check all details on the system

  • After confirmation, print your JAMB Registration Slip

  • Keep it safe; it contains your registration number and exam details

Step 6: Create JAMB e-Facility Account (Optional but Important)

  • Visit: https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng

  • Create an account using your email address

  • Use this portal to:

    • Check results

    • Print admission letters

    • Change course or institution

    • Accept admission on CAPS
