Who is Eligible to Apply?

To be considered for the 2025 UNESCO Graduate Internship Program, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  1. Academic Qualifications
  • Be at least 20 years old at the time of application.
  • Be currently enrolled in a graduate program (Master’s, PhD, or equivalent).
  • Have graduated with a Master’s degree or PhD (or an equivalent second degree) within the last 12 months.
  • For technical and professional positions, applicants must be enrolled in or have graduated from a specialized technical/professional institution within the last 12 months.
  • Undergraduate degree holders who are not enrolled in a graduate program are not eligible.
  1. Language Proficiency
  • Candidates must have an excellent command (written and spoken) of English or French.
  • A working knowledge of the second language (English or French) is an advantage and may be required for specific positions at UNESCO Headquarters.
  • Documents submitted in other languages must include an unofficial English or French translation.

  • Proficiency in computer systems and office-related software.
  • Ability to adapt to an international work environment.
