United Bank for Africa Plc (UBA) Group Company Secretary and Legal Counsel Mr. Bili A. Odum has purchased 128,340 ordinary shares of UBA for ₦38.40 per share worth ₦4,93million.
The transaction with ISIN: NGUBA0000001 was executed on the floor of the Nigerian Exchange in Lagos on November 19, 2025.
Odum, who has served as Group Company Secretary and Legal Counsel since at least March 2010, plays a key role in UBA’s corporate governance framework. He holds an LLB from Edo State University.
Prior to joining UBA, he was Managing Director/CEO of an asset management subsidiary of a Nigerian investment banking firm. His career has also included positions at Kakawa Discount House Limited, BGL Limited, and Universal Trust Bank Plc.
A member of the International Bar Association, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and the Nigerian Bar Association, Odum has been actively involved in promoting strong corporate governance practices at UBA, including organising and supporting governance trainings for the bank’s directors.
