Former US President Donald Trump has announced that the United States has carried out what he described as a major military operation against Venezuela, claiming that President Nicolás Maduro and his wife have been taken into US custody.
In a post shared on his Truth Social platform on Friday morning, Trump said the operation involved “large-scale strikes” and was conducted in coordination with US law enforcement agencies.
He alleged that Maduro and his wife were removed from Venezuela following the operation, but did not provide further details.
