Nigeria’s Super Falcons sealed a 2-0 victory over Benin Women in the first-leg of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations final qualifying round, with goals from Chinwendu Ihezuo (24’) and Esther Okoronkwo (45+2’) proving decisive at Stade de Kégué in Lomé, Togo.

The defending champions dominated the historic first-ever competitive clash between the West African sides, keeping a clean sheet and taking a strong advantage into the second leg on October 28 in Abeokuta.
