The Super Eagles of Nigeria will face Colombia and Venezuela in a pair of international friendlies this November as preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers intensify. According to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), both matches will be staged in the United States.

Nigeria will play Venezuela on November 14 at the Shell Stadium in Houston, Texas, with kick-off set for 2 a.m. Nigerian time. Four days later, the Eagles take on Colombia at Citi Field Stadium in Flushing Meadows, Queens, New York, with the match beginning at 1 a.m. Nigerian time.

Colombia have already booked their place at the 2026 FIFA World Cup to be hosted in the US, Canada, and Mexico, underlining the challenge ahead for Nigeria. Venezuela, meanwhile, narrowly missed out on qualification, falling short by just two points.

The Super Eagles themselves are in a precarious position, sitting third in Group C of the African qualifiers. With only two games remaining, they are six points adrift of leaders South Africa and face the prospect of missing a second consecutive World Cup.

However, the World Cup picture could still change as FIFA has opened disciplinary proceedings against South Africa for allegedly fielding an ineligible player. A potential three-point deduction for Bafana Bafana might hand Nigeria a lifeline in their bid for qualification.
