Mercy Corps is seeking an experienced Policy Coordination Expert to support the Community Owned Rural Electrification (CORE) Project.

The consultant will serve as a strategic liaison between the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), project partners, cooperatives, and donors — ensuring strong coordination, stakeholder engagement, and timely delivery of milestones.

Contract Type: Consultancy (Feb – Nov 2026 | Up to 56 days)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead stakeholder engagement across REA, partners, and REUCS cooperatives
• Coordinate workshops, consultations, and validation sessions
• Manage task orders and align with REA’s sustainability goals
• Facilitate approvals and administrative processes
• Draft policy briefs and donor updates
• Develop REUCS scale-up business case
• Monitor risks and maintain issue tracking systems

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Development Studies, Energy Policy, Public Administration, Business, or related field
• 3–5 years experience in stakeholder engagement or project coordination
• Strong understanding of Nigeria’s renewable energy landscape
• Experience working with government & development partners
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills
• Fluent in English (local language is an advantage)
