PSG Signs Super Falcons Captain Rasheedat Ajibade on Two-Year Deal

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) Feminines have secured the signature of Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade on a two-year contract running until June 30, 2027. The 25-year-old Nigerian forward joined as a free agent following the expiration of her contract with Atletico Madrid at the end of last season.

Ajibade’s move to PSG marks a new chapter after three successful years in Spain, where she established herself as one of the top attackers in the Liga F. At PSG, she reunites with fellow Nigerian star Jennifer Echegini, strengthening the French club’s growing African presence.

Born in Lagos, Ajibade began her career at FC Robo Queens before moving to Avaldsnes IL in Norway at just 17. Her journey reflects resilience, having grown up in Mushin, where she hawked olive oil and soft drinks, and even washed toilets to support her family.

Ajibade captained the Super Falcons to victory at the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco, clinching Nigeria’s 10th title. She was named the tournament’s best player, cementing her reputation as one of Africa’s brightest football talents.
