Nottingham Forest delivered one of the shocks of the Premier League season on Saturday evening, cruising to a commanding 3-0 win away at Liverpool in a result that will send shockwaves through the title race.
Forest took the lead in the 33rd minute through Anthony Murillo, who rose highest to head home from a corner, giving the visitors a deserved advantage heading into halftime.
Liverpool thought they had equalized just two minutes later through Igor Jesus, only for the goal to be controversially ruled out by VAR for a handball in the build-up.

Morgan Gibbs-White sealed the three points in style in the 78th minute, firing a powerful shot into the bottom corner after a swift counter-attack to spark wild celebrations among the traveling supporters.

The home side’s misery was compounded late on when Federico Chiesa picked up a yellow card for unsporting behavior in the 87th minute.
The result marks Nottingham Forest’s first win at Anfield since 1969 and lifts them further clear of the relegation zone, while Liverpool suffer a significant blow to their title aspirations.
