Job Title: Engineer – Data and Analytics
Location: Ikoyi, Lagos

- Design, build, and maintains large-scale data systems, architectures, and pipelines, ensuring data quality, security, and scalability.
- Leverage programming languages, data tools, and cloud technologies to drive business insights, inform decision-making, and deliver data-driven solutions, bridging the gap between data and business outcomes.
Description
- Assist in developing maintenance plans per application and carry out the maintenance of applications, re-configuring, building and testing components in accordance with OLAs and SLAs.
- Ensure Code applications is in accordance with good security coding practices to ensure the application is free of most common coding vulnerabilities.
- Create and execute technical test plans for operational and bug fixes.
- Participate in transitions of the application or technical architecture, design and development components into production environment
- Ensure the integrity of the solutions delivered into production environment.
- Perform reconciliations, proactive monitoring and ensure adequate service controls are in place.
- Design, build, and maintain large-scale data systems, architectures, and pipelines
- Ensure data quality, security, and scalability
- Develop and implement data integration, processing, and visualization solutions
- Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver data-driven solutions
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other engineers to drive business outcomes
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, technologies, and methodologies in data engineering
- Participate in transitions of the application or technical architecture components
- Fix any defects and performance problems discovered in production
- Develop information solutions from a variety of sources for both structured and unstructured data
- Integrate big data solutions with existing reporting and analytical solutions
- Support team and enhancement to ETL system
- Develop and implement big data models and solutions
- Conduct root cause analysis on production issues
- Guidance of entire information management process of both structured and unstructured data
- Understand and interpret complex business requirements and translate them into useful BI applications
- Understanding of Big Data principles, models and solutions e.g. Hadoop and apply it to current projects/initiatives
- Participate in the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Requirements
Education:
- First Degree in Computer Science or any related discipline
- Fluent in English.
Experience:
- 3 – 7 years of experience in an area of specialization; with experience with working with others
- Experience working in a medium-sized organization
- Experience in Enterprise Application Support.
