Meyer Plc has appointed  Engr. Goodwill Sunday Asade as its Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, effective from 3rd March 2026.

Engr. Sunday Asade’s Background

Engr. Sunday Asade holds a B.Eng. in Mechanical engineering from the University of Ilorin, he also holds an MBA from the University of Lagos.

He is an alumnus of Harvard Business School, Boston, USA. Fellow of the Nigeria Institute of Management.

He is also a registered Engineer with COREN, Member of the Nigeria Society of Engineers, and Chartered institute of purchasing and supply, UK.

Career Progression

He started his career in Cadbury Nigeria Plc in Operations and held various Positions. His 18- year career progressed into ever-increasing roles of responsibility within Cadbury Functions, which included Manufacturing, Plant Maintenance, Operations management, Sourcing Strategy and Commodity management, Project management, and Source to Pay Catalyst on SAP Resource.

In April 2013, he was appointed Group Procurement Director at A.G. Leventis (Nig.) Plc. In April 2018, he was appointed Chief Operating Officer of A.G. Leventis, where his responsibility was expanded to include Leventis Motors Sales and Marketing, After Sales Engineering, Truck Assembly Plant, Real Estate Business Unit, Fleet Solution Business Unit, Procurement, and QHSE.

He is also a Business Transformation and Change Leader, Public Speaker, Coach, and Mentor with over 3 decades’ cross function expertise that spans across leadership roles, Reliability Engineering, Procurement Strategy, Sales & Marketing, Business Digitalization, Operations management, Business process, and Project management, Business Transformation, and implementing the supply chain vision.
